By 2040, we have succeeded in transforming our society to fully fossil-free. The countries of the world finally realised what needs to be done and took their responsibility.
In Sweden, investments in fossil-free steel and cement have also led to changes in the way cities and communities are built and developed. Biodiversity has been strengthened, both in urban and rural areas. Forests are managed and used sustainably.
We continue driving, but without emissions and with reduced impact on nature and people. But it is not completely free of problems. Car accidents, congestion, road wear, etc. continue to disturb.
Hevn is also slowly recovering. Joint actions by the Baltic Sea countries are finally having an impact and we see some confidence in the future.
