    Prof. Dr. phil. Kerstin Cuhls is a scientific project manager at the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research (ISI) since 1992. She is also Professor for Japanology at the University of Heidelberg, Center for East Asian and Transcultural Studies (CATS) and combines East Asian studies with Futures concepts, Futures Research/ Foresight methods and time research. Kerstin Cuhls started with Delphi surveys in international comparisons but broadened the methodological toolbox to scenarios, roadmapping, workshop concepts and Horizon Scanning at Fraunhofer ISI in national, regional and international studies for different contracting authorities. Kerstin Cuhls teaches at the Free University of Berlin (Master Futures Research/ Zukunftsforschung), University of Strasbourg, France, as well as the Bundesakademie für Sicherheitspolitik (BAKS).
