I am a development economist - senior UN/UNIDO executive with nearly 30 years of experience in international development, industrial policy, multilateral governance, and field representation.
I served across UNIDO HQ Vienna, field offices, and diplomatic liaison functions in Africa and Asia, including as UNIDO Representative and Head of Office in Madagascar, covering Comoros and Mauritius, and in Viet Nam; and in UNIDO Liaison Offices in New York to the United Nations and in Brussels to the European Union.
My most recent UN executive post was from October 2023 to June 2026, during which I served as the Head of the UNIDO Sub-Regional Office in Cairo and Regional Representative, primarily in Egypt, Djibouti, and Libya, and coordinated country offices in Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Sudan, and Jordan.
I am currently undertaking academic research at the University of PARIS DAUPHINE PSL on strategic foresight and cognitive anticipation, comparing Future-Oriented Methodologies, Institutions, and Systems in Mauritius/Indian Ocean, France/EU, USA, and the UN.
Supporting also as Vice Chair of the Scientific Advisory Board and Associate Director of IESCCI BUSINESS SCHOOL (Paris – Toulon Côte d’Azur – France, in partnership with Ecole Polytechnique de Sousse – Tunisia and Ecole des Nouvelles Sciences et Ingénierie (ENSI) - Morocco).
