It’s that moment again, we’re hosting the next Association of Professional Futurists - APF Europe gathering (3rd edition).
We’re expecting foresight enthusiasts and practitioners from Europe (and not only), not just to learn from our guest, but also to share practices and experiences. As usual, the theme is “Business of foresight” (but as I’ve seen in previous editions, this is just the start, discussions tend to go in many other useful directions).
This time, our guest is Professor john a. sweeney - UNESCO Chair in Futures Studies for Anticipatory Governance and Sustainable Policymaking at Westminster International University in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Some of the questions we’d like to address him:
1. How did you get into foresight in the first place?
2. What is one foresight project that didn’t work as expected, and what did you learn?
3. Do you think the field is growing in a healthy way or just… growing?
4. What is one thing you wish people would stop doing in foresight? 🤪
5. What did you personally get from being part of a foresight community like APF?
As usual, this session is co-hosted with Bülent Duagi, APF member and the leader of the APF Book Club, and someone I really respect for how he integrates foresight into his tech consultancy work.
It’s a free event 1h-1h30, but pre-registration is needed.
