The video provides a brief and accessible introduction to scenario thinking as well as the history behind the proliferation of scenarios as a method, not only in futures research, but also in business research and corporate life.
The video also gives a short example of how to use scenario thinking based on the focal strategic question of whether or not to pursue higher education in a time of accelerating AI impact. This example is examined using Jim Dator's four scenario archetypes: Growth, Collapse, Discipline and Transformation.
