Science, memory, and heritage — connecting histories, rethinking museums
Historian of science and museum researcher at the Institute of Contemporary History (NOVA University of Lisbon / University of Évora). My work explores the past to inform the future of museums: transnational histories of collections, object biographies, and decolonising institutional narratives. I coordinate the TRANSMAT project ("Transnational materialities: reconstituting collections and connecting histories") and collaborate with European networks on experimental phonetics heritage (Phonlab). As a domain expert, I am interested in how futures thinking and R&I foresight can help museums and cultural heritage institutions prepare for more inclusive, sustainable futures.
