Flora Ferreira is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Economics, University of Porto, Portugal, and an integrated member of the Centre of Mathematics of the University of Porto (CMUP). Her research focuses on mathematical modelling, nonlinear dynamical systems, time series analysis, topological data analysis, and machine learning. She develops data-driven methods to extract meaningful and interpretable patterns from complex data, with applications in biomedical signal analysis, gait dynamics, and financial time series. Her interests include the development of robust and interpretable AI methods and the use of advanced analytical approaches to address emerging challenges in science, technology, and decision-making.
