My work sits at the intersection of industry practice, academic research, and public policy, with a focus on the governance of the European energy transition. I combine quantitative and qualitative methods to analyse how policy instruments, market structures, and institutional arrangements shape the deployment of renewable energy and electric mobility.

Recent work includes a systematic review of barriers to Renewable Energy Community expansion across the EU-27, and a configurational analysis of the EU policy mix for RES–EV integration, based on a verified corpus of 461 policy documents adopted between 2010 and 2025. This work develops a coherence framework that assesses whether the policy mix delivers on its stated objectives of flexibility, coordination, and system integration, and identifies the governance functions that remain underdeveloped.

My approach is deliberately translational: I design analyses that are rigorous enough for peer-reviewed publication and structured enough to inform policy design and industry strategy. I am particularly interested in how governance configurations, rather than individual instruments, determine whether integrated energy systems succeed or stall.
