Chiara Viceconti is a PhD student in Germanic and Slavic Studies at Sapienza University in Rome, with a double degree programme at Charles University in Prague. She is currently working at her dissertation on Women, Ideology and Science Fiction in East Germany and the Soviet Union, with the aim of analyzing gender perspective in the texts and enhancing the literary research on European science fiction. She was a guest fellow at Leibniz Zentrum für Literatur- und Kulturforschung in Berlin in 2024 and participated to several conferences and events about science fiction, utopias and future thinking. Her research interests encompass science fiction literature, politics (because of her master in International Relations) and gender studies.
