Silvia Ciubotaru (Guță) is a licensed psychotherapist that studied Psychology at the University of Bucharest and specialized in experiential psychotherapy. She’s passionate about psychodynamics, neurosciences and philosophy and tries to keep up with the newest developments in the field.
She has been working in the nonprofit sector since 2006, mostly in educational and cultural projects dedicated to young people. Silvia is a founding member, trainer and community development coordinator at Ideo Ideis - an ecosystem of alternative education projects through arts focusing on personal and community development, run by the T.E.T.Alexandria Association. She is also a collaborator of the Friends For Friends Foundation in Bucharest, where she coordinates a project called In a Relationship - a psychoeducational initiative for youth, aiming to prevent relational abuse and domestic violence, but also to raise social awareness concerning the link between mental health problems and exposure to violence and psychological trauma. From time to time, she writes and publishes her texts on various media platforms and participates in the development of other cultural and artistic projects, combining her experience as a psychologist, psychotherapist, strategist and event planner to contribute to the consolidation of civil society in Romania.
Silvia believes that happy people live in the present and that the present has a place for each and every one of us.
