Makēda Gershenson
Building futures and weaving worlds that educators and leaders have yet to imagine
Makēda Gershenson is a futurist, educator, artist, researcher, and self-described mad scientist. She is a Master's candidate at Institut Futur, Freie Universität Berlin, advised by Riel Miller. She founded Quest Labs, a living lab where the Futures Alphabet (A-G) and the Black Menagerie (five animals for postnormal times) turn dense futures concepts into embodied, playful practice.
Her work centers futures literacies for those most often positioned as afterthoughts, or as the recipients of material consequences when they are not included.
