My work sits at the intersection of strategic foresight, creative research, and emerging technology. I support leaders and teams who compete through better questions, a clear vision, the orchestration of diverse forms of knowledge, and a redefinition of differentiated value across industries.

Past engagements include: cross-functional transformation at a leading automotive manufacturer; research strategy at a major Japanese pharmaceutical company; foresight programs at a leading Japanese infrastructure / SI company; and R&D innovation at a global materials manufacturer.

I practice foresight as editorial work: selecting signals, juxtaposing them, and proposing a direction before the pattern is obvious. My method is AQTA: Articulating, Questioning, Testing, Answering again. It takes its name from Japanese word 芥 (akuta) means what appears trivial but holds the seed of something valuable.
