
Oliver Gnad
Changing Minds – Creating Futures
Oliver Gnad is co-founder and managing director of the Bureau fuer Zeitgeschehen (Bureau of Current Affairs). He is a Senior Visiting Fellow of the German Marshall Fund of the United States and a Certified Senior Instructor of Globalytica Ltd, a Washington-based thought leader in building analytical cultures. He has also been an adjunct faculty member at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin since 2015, and a lecturer at the Chair of International Politics at the University of Regensburg since 2019. From 2008 to 2016, he was Director of GIZ AgenZ, an in-house consultancy of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). From 2003 to 2007, he was Director of International Programmes at the Ebelin and Gerd Bucerius ZEIT Foundation in Hamburg. Before joining the ZEIT Foundation, Oliver Gnad was a research assistant at the Chair of Contemporary History at the Goethe University Frankfurt and at the Chair of Political Science at the Ruhr University Bochum. He holds a doctorate in contemporary history from the Goethe University in Frankfurt.
